Design Concept
Everything in this world is ephemeral. Compared to the scale of the universe, peoples’ existences are extremely faint—lives blooming and withering again and again simultaneously at every second.
Despite the limited amount of time given to us humans in comparison to the infinity of the universe, we devote our whole lives to becoming the best of ourselves.
Time runs forever, and inside of them are short and memorable instances. Each and every moment inevitably pass us, happening and ending concurrently. But these seemingly diminishing moments build on each other to create what we see as the past, present, and future. Though from the universe’s perspective our lives may be insignificant and short, the small but definitely existing reminiscent beauties in our lives may last forever. The phrase that short instances last forever may sound contradicting. But these contradicting moments continuously occur in our lives and live as proof of our claims.

The time of puberty is evoked and reflected on through the experiences of this space. Reminiscing on the constantly shifting search for identity through movement and realizing that the journey through this period of growing pains can be reflected on with warmth through sweet aromas. This experience of finding a sweet and watching a constantly shifting scene represents the expedition and inspection of finding one’s identity. The playground-inspired structure eliciting a playful atmosphere and acting as a lighthearted reflection on the hindsight of adolescence.
Sleep Tight,
Don't let IT Bite
Design Concept
An urban mythology based on the notion of a metropolitan creature that consumes the sleep of the modern person is given life in the form of an installation art piece that provides surrealness and counter-intuitiveness to a common, everyday experience, walking the fine line between the boundaries of reality and imagination. The creature permeates through the interior and exterior of the rooftop, providing a natural transition of space between the introduction of the creature to the audience and what it seemingly signifies. The merry-go-round situated on the outdoors of the building symbolizes the interaction that the urban myth has with us. The corrosion and decay of the amusement park ride that is deeply linked to our childhood is a juxtaposition of our current form in contrast with the energetic and exuberant child that we all were. The merry-go-round continues to revolve slowly, creaking and moaning; a reflection of modern society and a fitting ending to this urban ghost story.
Design Concept
Let’s flash back to our childhood when we used to play hide-and-seek. Were you busy tenaciously concealing yourself to hide from exposure, yet sticking your head out to see where the seeker was? We all have at least one moment when we were caught by the seeker while doing so, to look for the seeker or our hidden friends.
Why couldn’t we resist their curiosity and stick our head out? In this installation project, we rendered such contradictory feelings of a desire to hide and irresistibility to observe our surroundings simultaneously.
To fulfill both feelings, we created a cave using the asymmetry of visibility. Inside our Panopticave, you can hide and see everything without revealing yourself.
Design Concept
As digital culture develops, we rely on digital cloud devices rather than brain functions. Memos written down and pictures captured on the screen, thinking, “We’ll need them someday,” are sleeping in digital devices, forgetten even their existence. This indicates that we are suffering from “digital storage obsessive-compulsive disorder,” such as “storage obsessive-compulsive disorder,” which refers to symptoms of not being able to throw away or collect useless or valuable objects in fear of “throwing or losing things.”

ARTPHIL
Go beyond
The Reason
History
Our Belief and Vision
Curri-spot

Curri-Spot
4 . Recommended Class Ratio
5 . Course Credit System
